Rich's Poetry Page

Hi, and welcome to my poetry page. Poetry is one of my passions, and I consider myself a pretty down-to-earth poet (to the point I don't even consider myself a poet). I don't like pretentious drivel: an endless series of useless images or intricate twists of phrases without any substance or meaning. I am by no means an expert, but I know what I like. I think the mark of a good poem is that it says something. Flowery speech is worthless if it is not build upon some (any) concept.
Ok, enough of the soapbox stuff. The purpose of this webpage is to showcase some of my work. I also hope to display some of my friends' poems.
