How Long Must I Wait
How long must I wait
before this black gate,
As my faith wans low
and in me I feel welling hate.

Roads meander to and fro
but I know not which to go.
I'm afraid I'd get lost
If I leave this threshold.

So, here I stand against all cost
for inside is what I'd sought.
My soul yearns to pass the gate
and free my troubled thoughts.

But so long do I wait.
Oh, so long do I wait.
