Stone Eyes
The night rushed in upon me,
As the shadows surrounded my soul.
Death's icy fingers gripped my heart.
My debts came due, I was told.

I turned to stare into stone eyes.
A chill ran up my spine.
No love was lost in her glare,
But a world's worth tore from mine.

The clouds grew thick and grey,
As the rain cloaked my tears.
So wretched is the face of Hate,
I was struck dumb with fear.

On my knees I did plead and beg,
Brighten your eyes of black.
But she would not relent,
And I felt the knife in my back.
