Sudden Ending

I awoke to see the new day
I'd never thought I'd see.
Oh, how fast good things can end
that take a long time to create.

Within the blink of an eye,
or in the flash of light,
life's course can change.
And what you once held in your hand.
of fell in your heart,
is gone.
