Time
Time goes by so fast,
that nothing good seems to last.
We just live our lives
in a dream, unrevived.

Sitting idle, day by day,
the seconds ticking away.
The moments fading rapidly,
losing their place in memory.

The minutes become years,
waiting 'till eternity's near.
Every hour's a waste,
our lives spent in haste.

Going at life's pace
seems to be in bad taste.
No race is won,
beating the setting sun.

If time would only slow,
it's hectic ways would go.
But time knows its speed,
and offers no good deeds.

Time is only what's made of it.
But still, it won't sit.
It stays in constant motion
and of change, gives no notion.

And time doesn't wait.
No exceptions are made.
So spend it with wise concern,
and with patience learned.
