Yesterday and Today

Yesterday there were no tears.
Now they shower down like rain.
Yesterday there were no fears.
Now they tower over the sane.
Yesterday there were no worries.
Now they forsake the mind.
Yesterday there was no hurry.
Now it takes all our time.
Yesterday there were sweet dreams.
Now it's black with nightmares.
Yesterday we played as a team.
Now we lack all feeling of care.

Today we live under a clouded sky.
No time to live, no time to die.
The world is filled with violence and pain.
The people we knew are not the same.
The good times we shared have gone away.
And I just can't live in this world today.
