Your Life and Mine
Sing me your song,
and I'll sing along.
Tell me your dreams,
and I'll tell you what they mean.
Cry about your fears,
and I'll wipe away your tears.

Your life's no different from mine.
There's just a shift in time.
Your hopes and dreams are all to clear.
They ring familiar upon my ears.
You cry alone and think no one knows,
but yours is just my life retold.

Your story and mine are quite the same.
in a different time, under different names.
You are young and I am old.
I'd like to stay, but I must go.
The look of death is on my face,
and your destiny is to take my place.
